Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To get quotes, the tool needs your gender, date of birth, health status (in your words), whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and how long you need it—six pieces of data. Personal contact info isn't collected unless you apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They represent what each carrier quotes for the health class you stated. The final rate is determined by the carrier after underwriting, which might confirm, lower, or raise your class. This site does not guarantee rates or promise coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, and we create the application from the exact quote you chose. It then opens the carriers' secure application (you can pause and come back). You'll sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurer (License 0B75129), processes the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It's up to the carrier, the amount, and your answers. Carriers with no-exam options can approve right away for eligible applicants. Each quote specifies whether an exam is mandatory, might be needed, or isn't required.

Is a longer term better?

The term should span the years when you'd hurt the household by dying—years paying a mortgage, kids at home, business debt. Each year added costs extra monthly but locks in a constant rate for longer. Compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years with the quote tool.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quoting tool doesn't ask for personal information. We don't sell or give away visitor data. Our analytics run without cookies. Visit the privacy page for the specifics on what's tracked and by whom.
